Csaba Varga bibliography
Csaba Varga (1946) sociologist,
president of the Institute for Strategic Research.
The author is Dóra Udvari’s grandfather, Virág Varga,
Borbála Varga and Dorottya Varga’s father, and Éva Csorba’s
husband. He belongs to the Reformed Church. His life has been interconnected
with three settlements: Balatonszabadi, Budapest and Nagykovácsi.
He graduated from the Department Sociology of Eötvös Loránd
University (ELTE) in the first half of the 1980’s and studied full time
at the Institute for Executive Training for two years.

His activity in the field of sociology and theory: village
and town research (1972-), area structure research (1986-) future research,

society research, knowledge theory and vision of the age of unity (1995).

In 1998, he launched and has been coediting two series of books: National
Strategy Books until 2020 and Information Society Books. He
is editor-in-chief of INCO, an on-line journal on the theory and
practice of the age of information. He is the president of the editorial board
of eVilág Journal.
From 2002-2003 on, he was gradually going to hand the management of the Institute
for Strategic Research over to his colleagues, and commissions them with the
management of the knowledge region and intelligent region projects as well.
He wishes to dedicate himself entirely to research (and teaching, in part),
because he embarked on a scientific project in 2000, which consumes all his
time and energy.
The title of the research is The Theory of the Society of Unity,
in which he is exploring and creating a synthesised hypothesis of scientific,
sociological, religious and spiritual researches.
